We feel so incredibly lucky to have grown up here on the farm!
As adults, we can now look back and see all of the life skills we accumulated from a very early age + how they truly shaped us. From commitment + perseverance, to not shying away from hard work. From learning how to understand + care for an animal to knowing what herbs we can pick in the forest. From running barefoot through the hay fields to imaginative free play exploring the creek.
I guess you could say simply that these things helped us develop a good base of self confidence, self trust, & self awareness that we could carry with us + build upon throughout our lives. Our hope is that these camps will spark similar embers within each kid that attends.
We believe in the importance of disconnecting from technology + spending time outdoors. In providing a grounding place in this fast paced world where kids can slow down from all the stimulus + content + have the freedom to be that “free ranged” version of themselves.
We want kids to leave these camps feeling more confident, capable, + with a few more skills + experiences in their life toolbox.
Kids will help with daily farm chores, learn how to care for the animals, plant/harvest produce from the gardens, wild forage in the forest, + explore the fresh water creek.
